Booking & contract

• The booking request is made via the form on the website www.cotesoleil.com.
• By validating your booking request and ticking the box Read and approved for the Rental Terms, you enter into an electronic contract. A summary email with payment instructions is sent.
• A 72-hour hold applies from the time the summary email is sent. If payment is not received within this period, the request is cancelled and the dates are released.
• The booking becomes firm after payment of the deposit, or of the total balance, of the rental. A booking confirmation email is sent.

Deposit, balance & payment methods

• Booking more than 45 days in advance: initial mandatory payment of 30% of the total booking amount.
• Balance: due no later than 45 days before arrival.
• Booking less than 45 days in advance: payment of 100% of the total amount at the time of booking.
• Payment method: bank transfer only.

Security deposit

• A security deposit is required to cover any potential damage or breaches.
• Amount: €2,000 for Villa Côté Soleil; €1,000 for Gîte Côté Jardin.
• Method: credit-card pre-authorization via our partner SWILKY (no charge taken; secure link sent by email).
• Timing: 45 days before the start of the rental for bookings made more than 45 days in advance. At the time of booking for bookings made less than 45 days in advance.
• Release: cancellation of the pre-authorization within a maximum of 30 days after departure, except in the event of any damage or breaches.

Cancellation

Any cancellation must be notified in writing (email). The cancellation policy applies as follows:

• By the Guest, more than 45 days before arrival: full refund of amounts paid by the Guest (within 30 days maximum).
• By the Guest, less than 45 days before arrival: amounts paid are retained by the Owner, excluding the security deposit.
• Shortened stay, early departure or no-show: the stay remains due in full; no refund may be claimed by the Guest.
• Failure to complete the security deposit: the booking may be cancelled, without the Guest being entitled to any refund.
• By the Owner, without obligation to state a reason or observe a notice period: all amounts paid by the Guest are fully refunded (within 30 days maximum). No compensation of any kind shall be due to the Guest. Where possible, the Owner will attempt to propose an equivalent accommodation to the Guest, without obligation of result.

Length of stay, check-in & check-out

• Duration: rentals are granted for a fixed period; the guest may not claim any right to remain in the premises.
• Check-in: self-check-in from 4:00 p.m.
• Check-out: by 10:00 a.m.

Times may be adjusted upon prior request, subject to availability.

Use of the premises & obligations

• Quiet enjoyment and responsible use in line with the intended purpose of the premises; respect for neighbours and house rules (pool, recycling, noise, etc.).
• No parties or events.
• No smoking indoors.
• Villa Côté Soleil must not be occupied by more than ten people (children aged 2+ included).
• Gîte Côté Jardin must not be occupied by more than four people (children aged 2+ included).
• Respect the facilities and furniture; any breakage must be reported immediately.
• The pool and hot tub are strictly for the use of guests.

Pets

• Only cats and dogs under 20 kg are accepted, non-aggressive, excluding categories 1 and 2.
• One animal allowed per stay.
• A daily supplement applies.

The property is unfenced and animals remain the sole responsibility of their owner.

End-of-stay cleaning

The final cleaning fee restores the accommodation to the same condition as upon your arrival; however, the accommodation must be left in a normal state of cleanliness, and in particular:

• Ovens, plancha and barbecue must be cleaned.
• Fridges and dishwashers must be emptied.
• Bed linen should be left on each bed, with the towels.
• Household waste must be placed in the designated bins and not left on the ground.
• Glass must be taken to the collection containers.

Any shortcomings and/or extra cleaning costs will be deducted from your security deposit.

Insurance & liability

The Guest undertakes to hold holiday liability insurance. The Owner declines any responsibility in the event of loss, theft or damage to personal belongings.

Mediation & governing law

In the event of a dispute and after an unsuccessful written claim, the Guest may refer the matter free of charge to the competent consumer mediator: CM2C – Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice, 14 rue Saint-Jean, 75017 Paris — www.cm2c.net.

Only the French version is legally binding. Governing law: French law. Jurisdiction: Grasse court.
